Mallory Waters (BSW 2014) was named as one of the first Inaugural Cannon Fellows in 2015-16 school year at the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently in their MSW advanced standing program. The Cannon Fellowship Program is a federally funded program that supports MSW students in approved Integrated Healthcare settings. The Affordable Care Act is creating new opportunities for social workers trained in interdisciplinary approaches to pursue careers in integrated healthcare, which offers coordinated medical, mental health, and substance abuse care. As a Cannon Fellow, Mallory will complete her clinical field placement at the Matilda H. Theiss, a University of Pittsburgh Medical Center—a federally qualified health center. Congratulations Mallory on this outstanding honor!
